The Popular Show Campaign 4 Reveals the Soldiers Table

Since the launch of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master Brennan Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with rich lore, a colorful mix of heroes, and a gripping narrative featuring celestial beings, fiends, and dark forces growing in influence within Dol-Makjar.

Warning: Key plot points for the third episode of Campaign 4 follow below.

The Soldiers Table Introduced

The third episode finished on a huge suspense moment and introduced the initial group of characters who will split off from the central cast to embark on their independent quest, distinct from the remaining groups.

The Soldiers table features Teor Pridesire (played by Travis Willingham), the nimble rogue (Laura Bailey), the fierce warrior (Whitney), the cleric (Sam), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie Daymond).

Why Split the Party?

With an extensive roster, it was evident from the outset that maintaining everyone at the same party would be impossible.

This explains, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Prelude, intertwining the individual narratives before dividing into three smaller tables: Warriors, Planners, and Questers.

What Defines the Warrior Group

As described by the DM, the combat-focused party is for participants who prefer a typically action-packed battle-oriented story mode where non-violent answers are scarce.

Upon first impression, characters like the squeamish cleric Wicander Halovar might appear unsuited, but the actions of the third episode show why these specific adventurers are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.

Reasons to Leave

First, the team knows exactly where to proceed after a brutal first encounter with the antagonists.

An old friend of Thjazi—whose passing initiated the campaign’s events—used the foes for his selfish purposes, entering the secret base, striking the rogue, and stealing all the powerful objects to sell off.

The antagonist then paid off his obligations and ran away to a secure base in the northern region, north of Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother close behind.

Character Drivers

Moreover, each character has a specific drive to exit the urban setting:

  • Thimble, as the close ally and closest confidant, desires retribution.
  • Kattigan knows the region and cautions that it is a dangerous environment.
  • The strong character and Wicander, having resisted his house’s orders to execute the fighter and instead saved him, have no other options.
  • Yet, their reputation as prominent individuals in House Halovar could help the group reach locations they normally couldn’t.
  • Furthermore, The grateful character pledged a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his rescue and will now follow him wherever.

Fugitives

Lastly, all of them are wanted by the authorities that rule the setting for a range of causes, making remaining behind no longer safe:

  • The rogue and The character are known criminals.
  • Tyranny and The cleric defied House Halovar and the horde of evil beings they are aligned with.
  • Teor is wanted dead by House Halovar.

This leaves them little choice but to travel to Timmony in pursuit of Casimir.

What’s Next?

Based on the latest episode’s follow-up content, we discover that the combat party will be absent the following episode, leaving the rest of the cast members to round up the Explorers and Planners tables.

Fans can expect finding out which characters will be where in the story’s concluding setup installment, available to watch on next week.
